Day 1: Home-Yangon

You'll be welcomed by our guide upon arrival and transferred to your hotel. After lunch at a local restaurant, your tour of Central Yangon featuring National Museum; Chaukhtatgyi, a colossal reclining Buddha; Karaweik Hall, a concrete structure shaped like a royal barge amidst the waters of Royal Lake (Kandawgyi); and the Shwedagon Pagoda, the most revered by all Buddhists in Myanmar. Then, enjoy your dinner at a local restaurant and overnight stay at your hotel.

Day 2: Yangon-Bagan

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the Yangon Airport for your flight to Bagan. Upon arrival, visit Nyaung U Market; Shwezigon Pagoda, built by King Anawrahta in the early 11th century; Wetkyi-inn Gubyaukyi Temple with exquisite murals of Jataka scenes. Next stop is Htilominlo situated close to the road between Nyaung U and Bagan, built by king Nantaungmya in 1218 and traces of old murals are also still visible. Continue to Ananda Temple, a whitewashed masterpiece of Mon architecture with four standing Buddhas, and the adjacent brick monastery with beautiful, well-preserved 18th century murals. Make a photo stop At Thatbyinnyu 'Omniscient' Temple, one of the highest in Bagan, rises to 61m and was built by Alaungsithu around the mid-12th Century. Transfer to your hotel. Enjoy your lunch at a local restaurant.
Continue to Dhammayangyi, a massive-looking temple dating from 1170 which is famous for its interlocking mortarless brickwork. Then visit, Mingalazedi built in 1277 by Narathihapati and it was the very last or the large late period, thus representing the final flowering of Bagan's architectural skills. Then stop at Myazedi Stupa to see Myanmar's "Rosetta Stone", bearing inscriptions written in four languages.
Afternoon tour includes Manuha Temple, built in a Mon Style in 1059, Nampaya Temple, unique sandstone edifice said to be the residence of King Manuha; and sunset viewing from Bagan's temples. Enjoy your dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight stay at your hotel.

Day 3: Bagan-Salé-Mt. Popa

After breakfast, takes a car trip to Salé, a small town about 15 km south of Bagan. Salé is a colorful old religious center in Central Myanmar it is about 1 ½ hours south of Bagan. In between visiting the numerous ancient monasteries, adorned with beautiful woodcarving, you can enjoy the beauty of this compact city of colonial buildings, monasteries and pagodas. Sightseeing includes U Pone Nya Museum, formerly the Yoke Sone Monastery, which exhibits antique lacquerwares, wooden reliefs and a large standing gilded Buddha image. Then, drive to Mount Popa, an extinct volcano claimed to be abode of Nat spirits. On this mountaintop are the pagodas, shrines and monasteries. Then, return to Bagan and overnight stay at your hotel.

Day 4: Bagan-Yangon

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to Yangon. Your morning sightseeing starts with the Insight Meditation centre’s; the Sule Pagoda, located smack in the centre of Yangon; some colonial buildings; and the Strand Hotel. Then, enjoy your lunch at a local restaurant. The afternoon tour continues with the Bo Gyoke (Scott’s) Market; and Chinatown. Then, enjoy your dinner at a local restaurant and overnight stay at your hotel.

Day 5: Yangon - Home

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the Yangon International Airport for departure.
