Day 01: Arrival Yangon
Arrive at Yangon International Airport. Welcome by our tour guide. Transfer to Hotel. Yangon sightseeing tour includes the old colonial style city center with the gilded Sule Pagoda, dating back over 2,000 years. The tour continue to Chaukhtatgyi Pagoda, a huge reclining Buddha image, extended visit to Shwedagon Pagoda, one of the world’s most spectacular religious monuments and the golden dome of Shwedagon Pagoda rises 98meters above its base and is covered with 60 tons of pure gold., will conclude the tour of this picturesque garden city. Dine and overnight in Yangon.
Day 02: Yangon-Madalay-Amarapura
After breakfast at hotel, take a flight from Yangon to Mandalay. Upon arrival at Mandalay, transfer to the hotel for check-in. After taking arrest for a while, attend the annual celebration, held in honour of the Taung Pyone Brother Lords. Not only Taung Pyone brother statues, but also Series of 37 Nat statues on the stands are offered food and flowers, cash and alcohol. Enjoy the mediums entertain the crowds with Nat dance with the traditional Nat music and performance day and night. Back to your hotel and overnight in Mandalay.
Day 03: Mandalay
Today tour program leads to visit a traditional hand-woven silk workshop before proceeding to Bagaya Monastery, a compound with a superb collection of Buddha statues. After lunch at a local restaurant, embark for a short boat ride over a river and start exploring the former Royal Capital Inwa (Ava) by horse cart. Visit Nanmyint Watch Tower, the remains of the ancient palace building, also know as “the leaning tower of Ava“; Maha Aungmye Bonzan Monastery, built of brick and stucco; Bargayar Monastery, famous for its impressive ornate woodcarvings and teak posts then continue to Sagaing Hills, a retreat for Buddhist devotees for sunset. Overnight stay in Mandalay.
Day 04: Mandalay-Yangon-Home
After breakfast transfer to the airport for departure to Yangon. Upon arrival at Yangon, take a free leisure. After lunch, transfer to the Yangon International Airport for your onward departure flight. It will be the end of your great experience in one of Myanmar Festival on the wonderful trip with METT.
